Presentation

MUSIC (University Master on Civil Engineering Systems)is a programme of master and doctorate, offered by the Civil Engineering Faculty of the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid. It offers two alternative itineraries: Academic and Research.

The objective of the academic itinerary is to offer technological education focused on planning groups, design, construction and exploitation of hydraulics or transport infrastructures and the analysis of their land use and environmental effects.

The research itinerary is aimed at students who want to obtain a PhD, providing  the requirements of the UPM. The main objective of the research itinerary is to develop a doctoral thesis for an academic career or, alternatively, a professional career on research departments of Civil Engineering companies.

Both, the academic and the research programme of MUSIC are oriented to produce high level technician and researchers with capacity to understand and to apply new analysis techniques in the field of civil engineering. For this end it is required solid mathematical capabilities and fundamentals of system analysis and simulation in one of areas of specialisation of the Master.

MUSIC is primary oriented to students graduated on Civil Engineering, and other branches of engineering, interested in a postgraduate degree on the following fields of applied civil engineering: transport, environment, hydraulics and energy.
